PemSpa was born in 2021 out of a deep desire to do things differently. After years of working in Boston spas, I became disillusioned with how often the client’s wellbeing came second to sales metrics and convenience. Staff were pressured to push memberships and products. Appointments were booked back-to-back with no time to properly clean or genuinely connect with clients. Products were often ineffective, and treatment protocols felt more like sales scripts than skincare.
The worst part? Many team members were poorly trained, uninvested, and treated their work as clock-in, clock-out jobs. Some were even evaluated based on their retail sales rather than client outcomes. I knew I had to build a better model—one where integrity, personalization, and professional care would never be compromised.
At PemSpa, we schedule 30 minutes between every client to allow for thorough sanitation, thoughtful check-ins, and meaningful conversations. Every esthetician is personally trained by me—regardless of experience—in the PemSpa Method. We work together, train on each other, and continually evolve our treatments. This level of collaboration isn’t optional; it’s baked into our culture.
We believe that skincare should never be rushed, impersonal, or driven by a sales pitch. Our method is rooted in clarity, purpose, and safety. If a treatment isn’t right or safe for you, we won’t offer it—period. Our mission is simple: to help you feel confident, cared for, and informed in every step of your skin journey.
We don’t offer every spa service—just the ones we know inside and out. And we never offer something we wouldn’t use on ourselves or our loved ones.
