Not sure which facial to book? Use our Facial Selection Guide to find the right starting point. If you’re unsure, choose the 75-minute Balanced Bliss option when available. The longer appointment gives your esthetician more time for consultation, extractions, customization, and guidance.
Complete your intake form
After you book, we'll email you an intake form. Please fill it out before your appointment. This form gives consent to treat you and tells us about any skin allergies and medications, prescriptions, skin conditions, or recent treatments we need to know about.
Make sure to book with an email address you check regularly so you don't miss it.
Arrive 10 minutes early
For your first visit, please arrive at least 10 minutes early. A thorough skin analysis and consultation happens in the treatment room before your facial begins, so the extra time keeps your appointment on schedule.
Be mindful of your appointment time
Tardiness may result in a reduction of your treatment time. We protect your appointment slot by scheduling 30 minutes between every client, but we can't extend your appointment into the next client's time.

Every PemSpa facial begins with a thorough skin analysis and consultation in the treatment room. Your esthetician will evaluate your skin's condition, listen to your concerns, and recommend a customized treatment plan for that day.

PemSpa is located at 634 Commonwealth Ave, Suite 209, Newton Centre, MA 02459, on the inbound side of Commonwealth Avenue. We're neighbors to the Heartbreak Hill Running Store.
Free parking is available in front of the building. No meters.

How to book
Book online anytime through Fresha. We are appointment-only and do not accept walk-ins.
If you can't find an appointment online, join the Fresha waitlist or text us at 857-240-9805 and we'll do our best to find a time that works.
Cancellation policy
Please reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 48 hours in advance.
Appointment confirmation
If your appointment is scheduled by our staff at the spa or over the phone, it is not automatically confirmed. PemSpa reserves the right to cancel any appointment that is not confirmed within 6 hours after sending one or more confirmation emails.
Late arrivals
Please be mindful of your appointment time and arrive on time to enjoy the full duration of your facial. Tardiness may result in a reduction of your treatment time.
By Massachusetts law, a parent or legal guardian must be present in the treatment room or in the waiting room before a minor (under the age of 18) receives a treatment.

PemSpa gift cards are available online and can be used toward any service. Physical gift cards can also be purchased in the spa after your appointment.

Your privacy matters to us. We do not share your personal or health information unless you request or authorize us to do so.
Your intake form and client notes are used to help us provide safe, appropriate, customized skincare. This may include information about allergies, medications, prescriptions, skin conditions, recent treatments, product reactions, and treatment preferences.

What facial should I book for my first PemSpa visit?
New clients usually start with the Balanced Bliss Signature Facial. Choose the 75-minute option if it has been a while since your last professional treatment or if you want more time for consultation, extractions, and customization. Your esthetician will customize the treatment based on a skin analysis at the start of your appointment.
How long does a facial take?
Most signature facials are 60 minutes. The 75-minute Balanced Bliss includes additional time for extractions or customization. Specialty services like the Gentleman’s Facial and Teen Facial are 45 minutes. Advanced treatments like microneedling may run 75 to 90 minutes including numbing time.
How often should I get a facial?
Most clients benefit from a facial every 4 to 6 weeks, which supports the skin’s natural renewal cycle and helps maintain clearer, healthier-looking skin over time. Some clients come monthly for acne, congestion, or active skin goals, while others come every few months for maintenance. Your esthetician will recommend a schedule based on your skin, goals, and budget.
Can I get a facial after Botox or filler?
Please wait at least 2 weeks after Botox or filler before booking a facial, unless your provider has given you different instructions. This helps avoid pressure, manipulation, or irritation around recently treated areas.
Can I get a facial while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes, many clients can receive a facial while pregnant or breastfeeding. Please note your pregnancy or nursing status on your intake form so we can adjust products and treatment choices. Some advanced treatments, including microneedling and certain chemical peels, are not recommended during pregnancy.
Can I get a facial while on Accutane?
If you are currently taking Accutane or have taken it recently, please contact us before booking. Accutane can make the skin more fragile and sensitive, so exfoliation-based treatments, chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, waxing, and other resurfacing services may not be appropriate until enough time has passed. We’ll help you choose the safest next step based on your skin and treatment history.
Can I get a facial if I have sensitive skin?
Yes. PemSpa treats sensitive and reactive skin regularly. Please note your sensitivity, allergies, medications, skin conditions, or known triggers on your intake form. Your esthetician will adjust products and techniques based on what your skin can handle.
Can I book appointments for two people or a small group?
Yes. PemSpa can accommodate up to 2 clients at the same time, depending on schedule, staffing, service length, and room availability. If you are booking for two people, use our Group Appointments booking option. If you do not see the date or time you want, call or text 857-240-9805 or email pemspaboston@gmail.com and we may still be able to help coordinate the appointments. Same-time appointments are limited, so we recommend booking in advance.
What is PemSpa’s cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations within 48 hours are charged a 50% fee. No-shows may be charged up to 100% of the service price.
Can I wear makeup after my facial?
We recommend skipping heavy makeup for the rest of the day so your skin can breathe and absorb the products used during treatment. Mineral makeup or tinted SPF is fine if needed. After microneedling, avoid all makeup for at least 24 hours.
Can I work out after a facial?
Light activity is fine. Avoid heavy sweating, intense workouts, or saunas for the rest of the day. Sweat can irritate freshly treated skin, especially after extractions or exfoliation. After microneedling, skip workouts for a full 24 hours.
Is there downtime after a facial?
Most facials have little to no downtime. Your skin may look slightly flushed for a few hours, but you can usually go about your day normally. We recommend avoiding direct sun and heavy makeup after your treatment. Microneedling is the exception, with mild redness usually lasting 24 to 48 hours.
